A leader everyone can vote for!
Working in the
offices of Senator John Breaux and Congressman Billy Tauzin gave me an
understanding of public service and the difference it makes in the lives
of Louisiana families. As a former State Representative and current State
Senator, I have been honored to
work with elected officials at all levels of government. As a candidate
for the 19th Senate District, I pledge to continue to be honest, hardworking, and
always available to the citizens of Jefferson, Lafourche, St. Charles and
St. John parishes. I believe elected officials should represent the views of their constituents, not a political party, and I will continue to do that in the State Senate. My focus will be on working continuously to improve the standard of living and quality of life for every person in our District and State. Senate District 19 deserves a proven leader in Baton Rouge!
Gary Smith Jr., a bipartisan legislator
who gets results, has served in the Louisiana House of Representatives for
12 years and in the Louisiana Senate for 4 years. Gary has focused on strengthening our local
economies, protecting and creating Louisiana jobs and economic
development, protecting communities from hurricanes and flooding, building
better roads, making our schools better and our communities safer, cutting
taxes and reducing the size of state government so Louisiana taxpayers
have more money in their family checkbooks.
